What is the Sustainable Indiana Grant Network?

In 2021, the $1.2 trillion Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) became law. This bipartisan infrastructure bill presents an opportunity for local and state governments to invest in the electric grid, clean energy, transportation systems, broadband, water infrastructure, energy efficiency and more.

The Sustainable Indiana Grant Network (SIGN) is designed as a resource for Indiana communities and supports local governments pursuing federal funding for clean energy and clean transportation projects.

Program Goals

The goal of this program is to educate Indiana cities, towns, and counties about clean energy-related federal funding opportunities and make them more competitive for grants that will further our collective goal of expanding Indiana’s clean energy economy and reducing emissions.

The SIGN team understands the challenges that local governments have experienced in pursuing federal funding sources. We are dedicated to providing resources—both direct and indirect—that communities pursuing federal funding opportunities can utilize.
